BRIDGEHAMPTON HOUSE
When our clients approached us about designing their weekend home in Bridgehampton, NY, we were ecstatic. By reusing the foundation of the small cottage that once stood in its place, we successfully expanded the house with minimal impact to the surrounding environment. Large windows blur the boundaries between inside and outside by capturing and reflecting the surrounding forest. Black wood siding, charred using a Japanese wood preservation technique, accentuates the surrounding foliage and delineates the bedroom wing from the main entertaining spaces.
